I hear the crunching
the grizzly bears hibernate
people sweep the leaves

There are a lot of
pumpkin pies in Oregon.
Now I am hungry.

I hear my brother.
He goes running and then falls
then he yells and cries.

The sun is shiny.
It’s yellow and a big star.
I shine like the sun.

Winter is the cold.
It rains and snows all the time.
I tremble with cold.

What I say in my
mind the smell of pie that the
teacher made for us

My mom calling me
when it’s getting cold outside
“You’ll get sick,” she says
